LEED Certification: Build a sustainable project
8/7/2024
At GP Construcción, sustainability and environmental responsibility are fundamental pillars of our projects. Our LEED certifications are proof of our commitment to sustainable construction. By creating environmentally friendly and resource-efficient projects, we promote energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
LEED: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
LEED certification is an internationally recognized system, developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), which is used to evaluate and certify the sustainability of our buildings and construction projects, ensuring that they meet strict environmental standards.
For a project to obtain a LEED certification level it has to be evaluated and classified in one of the following categories:
Certified: Indicates compliance with minimum sustainability requirements, representing an initial commitment to sustainable construction.
Silver: Demonstrates that more advanced energy efficiency, resource conservation and indoor environmental quality measures have been implemented.
Gold: Awarded to projects with an exceptional commitment to environmental efficiency, implementing cutting-edge strategies and innovative technologies.
Platinum: This is the highest level and reveals outstanding responsibility for sustainability, innovation in design and construction operation.
Build with sustainability
The BBVA Stadium, Roberto Garza Sada-UDEM Center, and the Jumex Interpuerto and Caterpillar plants are examples of LEED-certified sustainable projects we have developed in Mexico.
