Construye Verde: GP Construcción's Environmental Social Responsibility Program

At GP Construcción we have implemented the Construye Verde (Build Green) program to promote recycling at our construction sites and raise awareness of environmental social responsibility among our employees and stakeholders. What does it consist of?

Our environmental social responsibility program consists of creating a culture that respects the environment through actions and behaviors that promote the care of natural resources. 

We always want to do more for the planet, so in 2023 we are focusing on four actions:

1. Culture of sustainability

We join efforts so that our employees and their families create environmental awareness to avoid compromising the future of the next generations.  

2. Recycling program

Of the 100% of municipal solid waste (MSW) we recycle 35% monthly, and of the 100% of special handling waste (MSW) we recycle 60% monthly. 

3. Responsible consumption

We increased the use of treated water by 30%, reduced the consumption of paper and toner, and reduced the consumption of single-use products. 

4. Carbon footprint reduction

We reduce by 10% the amount of carbon dioxide emissions and other polluting gases released into the atmosphere through:

✔ CarPool program

✔ Use of solar cells in construction site sheds.

✔ Installation of electrical panels

✔ Electric articulated aerial platforms

✔ LED lamps in offices and night lighting for construction site work.
