The Volvo project, which will be built in the strategic location of Ciénega de Flores, provides access to various export routes and proximity to the U.S., thus consolidating Nuevo León's position as an epicenter of the automotive industry and advanced manufacturing in Mexico.

The plant will focus on manufacturing heavy-duty vehicles for the Volvo and Mack brands and is scheduled to start operations in 2026, meeting growing demand in markets such as the United States and Canada, as well as Mexico and Latin America.

It has an investment of US$700 million and will be built on a 127-hectare site, generating approximately 2,500 direct jobs and up to 5,000 indirect jobs.
